About Me
The Short Story:
I am a Philadelphia-based writer and editor, specializing in health, wellness and lifestyle coverage. My work has appeared in a variety of publications and websites, including Glamour, Business Insider, Reader’s Digest, Prevention, mindbodygreen, Women’s Health, Cosmopolitan, Livestrong, Ravishly, Fit Pregnancy, Women’s Day, Town & Country, xoJane, Woman’s World, Babble, Upworthy, Mommy Nearest, Apartment Therapy, MyDomaine, ScaryMommy and LivingHealthy.
The Novel:
While other children were playing with Barbie dolls and Tonka trucks, I spent my youth writing stories about places I had never been to and people I hoped to meet. I precociously “published” my own books and magazines, dreaming that one day I would be a professional writer.
My career began in entertainment journalism on the left coast. After years of interviewing everyone from Clint Eastwood to Kim Kardashian and covering swanky events like the Academy Awards and Fashion Week, I spearheaded the features and fashion sections of the popular entertainment website RadarOnline.
Working in a fast-paced newsroom with very little resources, we turned our little entertainment website into a competitive force. I quickly found myself on a first name basis with the Jens, Kims and Brads of the celebrity world as well as their stylists, beauty, fitness and wellness experts.

In 2013 I took a leap of faith and embarked on my freelance writing career, focusing on things I am passionate about — parenting, lifestyle, beauty and health.
I look at writing opportunities as adventures. Whether composing an essay about my personal addiction struggles for Babble, curating an expert-driven slide show about foods that promote weight loss on Prevention, interviewing an internationally renowned physician about the celery juice craze for Livestrong or passionately scribing an op-ed about racism in colleges for Upworthy, I fully immerse myself in every assignment, delivering superior content my clients are proud to publish.
